YOUR BURNING QUESTIONS, answered.

Do all events take place on May 30th or should I save additional dates?

We invite all guests to join us for welcome drinks & dinner on Wednesday, May 29th and a farewell brunch on Friday, May 31st. Find more details on the ‘Itinerary’ page!

How and when do I RSVP?

Please submit your RSVP here by 30th March.

What is the dress code?

Wednesday’s dress code is garden semi-formal - think summer dresses for ladies and jackets for men. No ties necessary! Please note (weather permitting), drinks will take place outside on the grass, so some may find block heels preferable to stilettos.

Thursday’s dress code is formal. Please note (weather permitting), the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside on the grass, so some may find block heels preferable to stilettos.

On Friday, feel free to wear whatever you fancy.

I’m staying at Talbot Inn or Holcombe Inn. What time will shuttles be going to and from Babington?

Shuttles will leave Babington to return to Talbot and Holcombe at 10:45pm.

On Thursday 30th:
Shuttles will arrive at Talbot and Holcombe at 3:15pm and depart to Babington at 3:30pm.
Shuttles will leave Babington to return to Talbot and Holcombe at midnight and 2:15am.

Please note, if you would like to leave Babington at a different time than the scheduled shuttles on either day, there will be a 6-seat taxi available to take guests back to their accommodations.

Will Wolfie be in attendance?

As the groom has made it clear that he will not be tying the knot without the presence of his best man, we are working on arrangements to get Sir Wolf to the U.K. via France. Scratchies mandatory at the door.

Why are we celebrating on a Thursday?

Our chosen venue is an active hotel & club, which has kindly allowed us to have exclusive run of the property beginning Thursday afternoon. We hope that the holidays in the U.S. (Memorial Day on Monday, May 27th) and Brazil (Corpus Christi on Thursday, May 30th) will allow you to more easily take time off work to celebrate with us—and enjoy a vacation before and/or after!

Is there an afterparty?

The party goes until there’s no one left standing :)

Travel to the UK isn’t in the cards for me. Are you planning any US celebrations?

Yes - we’re working on plans for a small domestic reception next summer for friends & family who are unable or unwilling to travel abroad for any reason… or who just want to celebrate with us twice! Once confirmed, we will be sure to circulate the details.

What will the weather in Somerset be like in May?

Disclaimer: We would never attempt to predict English weather! However, highs in late May average in the upper-60s, with temperatures in the evening falling to the upper-40s (and the last few years have been even warmer). While we will be doing a reverse rain dance in the days leading up to the wedding, we will have a wet weather back-up plan… and plenty of umbrellas available on-site.

Are the celebrations indoor or outdoor?

Wednesday’s events will take place outdoors, weather permitting. Thursday’s ceremony and dinner will take place outdoors, rain or shine (don’t worry, there will be a marquee); the party will take place indoors. Friday’s brunch will also take place indoors.

Do I need a car?

No, we will be providing transportation to and from the venue on Wednesday and Thursday for guests staying offsite. However, if you choose to explore the area on your own, be aware that there are limited taxis / Ubers. We recommend booking any cars you need in advance (note for our NYC friends: 10 minutes before does not count as ‘in advance’!). Please see recommended car services below.

What car or taxi services do you recommend?

For long journeys (to/from airports or Central London):

For local journeys around the area:
